Cosmetology Training Course- 1000 Hours
The purpose of the Cosmetology Course is to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, proper work habits, safety judgments, and desirable attitudes to obtain licensure, and for the competency in entry-level positions in Cosmetology and related career fields. Upon successful completion of all requirements, students will be able to:
- Utilize effective communication, skill, visual poise, and proper grooming
- Deliver worthy service to outside clientele
- Project a positive attitude and a sense of personal integrity and self-confidence
- Apply learned theory, technical information, and related matter to assure sound judgments, decisions, and procedures
- Perform the basic manipulative skills in all phases of hair, skin and nail care
- Master subject material and have fulfilled 1500 clock hours required by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), in order to successfully complete the Cosmetology theory and practical examination for licensure
